Instructor of Burlesque
Favourite Silver Screen Siren: Mae West
"Feminism isn't about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It's about changing the way the world perceives that strength."
The golden hair dream made of curves and cream, Miss Alyssa Kitt is bringing her fierce, formidable and opulent style of burlesque to Sky Sirens. A purveyor of The Naked Arts, all round bad girl of bump and grind, this powerhouse of Australian burlesque is known for her cascading strawberry blonde locks, brain-melting decadence and scintillatingly sinful tease.
An influential figure on the world burlesque landscape, Alyssa has been performing burlesque since 2008. She has more than a few accolades under her pasties. In 2017, Alyssa competed for the prestigious title of Miss Exotic World, Queen of Burlesque at the Burlesque Hall of Fame, representing Australia on the world stage in Las Vegas. She has twice appeared on 21st Century Burlesque's Top 50 most influential burlesque industry figures. She's a bonafide veteran of the Miss Burlesque Australia competition winning a swag of titles including Miss Burlesque Australia first runner up in 2014, Miss Classic MBA (2012, 2014) and is the only two-time winner of Miss Burlesque Queensland (2014, 2012). Alyssa is currently the Associate Producer of Miss Burlesque Australia and coaches many performers in solo act development and reaching their stage goals.
Her work in burlesque extends off the stage - as a trained historian, journalist and editor, Alyssa is currently working on preserving Australia's history of striptease as the Director of the Australian Burlesque Museum.
Alyssa has taught many aspiring burlesque performers around Australia, the United States and Canada; and is known as a caring mentor and teacher with an incredible eye for detail, crafter of choreography and in-depth knowledge on stage-craft, musicality and audience connectivity.
