What is your favourite Apparatus?
Pole Dancing. I feel beautiful, sexy, and free when I dance. Pole dancing makes me happy!

How long have you been Pole Dancing?
I have been doing Pole on and off for about 4 years.

Did you ever feel nervous when you first started Pole?
My first pole class ever was a free taster class at a  campus gym of University of Queensland. My cousin and I went there as one of our regular weekly catch up, so we did not feel nervous at all. We actually had heaps of fun!

How does Pole make you feel?
Pole dancing definitely has boosted my confidence and self esteem. I became less judgemental, definitely fitter and more flexible. I also made amazing friends.

Who is the Pole Dancer that inspires you the most?
Lola Grace is my inspiration!

What advice would you give someone who wanted to give Pole a try, but was a little nervous?
My advice is pole dancing is for everyone and "don't let comparison steal your joy"! Everyone has to start somewhere. We are on our own unique journey as everyone has different bodies, lifestyles and backgrounds. Hence, don't be put off by comparing yourself to others. Stay focused on and enjoy your personal journey.

Has Pole changed the way you view yourself?
Pole dancing definitely has changed the way I view myself. When I first started pole I always compared myself to others. I thought I would never be able to do what others do. But then I have learned that I need to focus on my own and enjoy it.

We could not have created such a beautiful project without the help of our amazing Photographer Beccy Spice.
