What is your favourite Apparatus?
Lyra, because it makes me feel confident in my body, comfortable with my more feminine side.

How long have you been dancing in the Lyra?
I started about 6 months ago.

Did you ever feel nervous when you first started Lyra?
I was nervous first starting, as the way I present myself has has made it difficult to feel as if I belong in certain spaces.

How does Lyra make you feel?
In a performative aspect, lyra makes me feel graceful and soft, and seeing my abilities slowly build from lesson to lesson gives me a sense of achievement.

Who is the Lyra Artist that inspires you the most?
I don't really know of any other male lyra performers, but hopefully that will change in the future.

What advice would you give someone who wanted to give Lyra a try, but was a little nervous?
If anyone wanted to try lyra, my best advice would be go for it, you'll be surprised with how comfortable you'll become.

Has Lyra changed the way you view yourself?
Being queer, existing in certain spaces has been difficult, but lyra at Sky Sirens has allowed me to open up about myself, and in turn has made me more accepting of who I am.

We could not have created such a beautiful project without the help of our amazing Photographer Beccy Spice.
